Today was one of my better days for the following reasons:
(1) Dad and I went to church for the first Sunday
(2) was under 5 minutes late only. (I think...)
(3) I saw MO again in church.
(4) Philippines floored the Mexican delegates at Araneta.
I had to scold my Dad for trying to skip band practice so he could watch the fight on TV. What he didn't know was that his bandmates moved the practice time so they could see the bout, too.
How many Manny commercials did I count in between the rounds? Let's see:
(1) Magic Sing
(2) McDonalds
(3) Alaxan
(4) Circulan
(5) San Miguel
When you think about it, Manny is way more popular than any politician in the Philippines today! All the big people were there to watch (mostly celebs from ABS and some guys in uniform). I think even thieves would avoid doing a heist on a fight day so they could watch.
The only thing I comment on is the crowd: very unhospitable. In fairness to Larios, he was very nice to the audience.
