Love crosses the distance: Enren Danshi

If you've ever experienced a long distance relationship you will definitely relate to this one.  From a boyfriend's point of view, Enren Danshi tells the story of the difficulties (and triumphs, of course) of being separated from the one he loves.

Finally, by experiencing the loneliness of being unable to see you and be with you physically, each boyfriend in the CD realizes that "you're really the only one for him."  This CD just made me go "awww..." so many times.

Kousa Yuji gave an outstanding performance in Enren Danshi Volume 1.  His character (shun) is a salary man [?] who has to go to America for a year due to work.  You've been going out with him for 7 months, but this will be the first time the two of you will be apart for this long.  Believing that your relationship is strong enough to withstand this obstacle, and in order to ensure your future together, he decided to accept the offer.  He promised to keep in touch with you, and before leaving he gives you a little not-so-surprising surprise (He proposes!).

In all the tracks, the resounding theme of missing your loved one from a man's POV is both interesting and touching; In the monologues he professes how much he misses you, and recounting the things that you used to do together, realizing that they felt like an everyday thing until now that he's alone. (Again, awww....).  He also mentions his frustrations and loneliness when he's unable to comfort you or be near you when you need him.  Yuji's delivery of lines is so good I could feel there were times his character was almost on the verge of tears, too.  So what happens in the end?  Listen to find out!

Volume 1 - Kousa Yuji  as Saotome Shun / Kondou Takashi as Manaka Akira
